Dear Parents 15th May 2014
Thank you to all of you who came to our coffee morning last Saturday,
we all had a very good time and interesting conversations!
Dates for your diaries
Last day of first half of the Summer term: 22nd May 2014 (Thursday)
First day of second half of the Summer term: 2nd June (Monday)
Whole school trip: 4th June (Wednesday)
Sports day: 19th June (Thursday) 11-3.30pm
Donkey Sanctuary visits
After half term visits to the Donkey Sanctuary will be monthly on a Thursday. Children who ride the donkey will be attending these trips. The Donkey Sanctuary welcomes families free of charge all year round, specific ‘riding' and ‘cart riding' dates can be found on their website (http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk/therapy/sidmouth).
Whole school trip
Our next whole school trip will be based on our topic which is ‘transport'. On 4th June we will drive to Lympstone and walk along the river to Exmouth looking at boats and other means of water transport and trains. We were planning to take the train back to Lympstone but unfortunately the train company cannot accommodate all of us L Instead of the train journey, in the afternoon we will drive back to school. All parents and siblings are very welcome including families who will not be at Vranch on that Wednesday - meeting at the Harbour in Lympstone at 10am. The Vranch bus will be available after lunch to drive back those families from Exmouth to Lympstone who left their cars there. Please let us know if you are planning to come along and do not forget to inform county transport if you are joining us there or taking your child home from Exmouth/Lympstone.
Sports Day - 19th June
The event will start at 11am and we will aim to finish by 3.30pm. We will have picnic lunch on the day, bring along your sandwiches and picnic blankets! Alternatively, there is a fish and chip shop and a new sandwich shop by Polsloe Bridge. Please do not forget to inform county transport if you are intending to take your child home after the event. Please bring suitable footwear as parents won't be spared from the fun!
Parents are welcome to observe and take part in fun Hydrotherapy sessions on 12th (Thursday), 16th (Monday), 18th (Wednesday) and 20th June (Friday). Please advise us in advance if you would like to be in the pool with your child, one parent per child please.
Your support is very much appreciated!
Hope to see many of you in the forthcoming events at Vranch House!
