Get Involved

Thanks to you we are able to transform the lives of choldren with physical difficulties by providing the best therapies, adapted equipment and expert staff.

There are lots of ways to get involved and fundraise for Vranch House.

Some recent examples are below, or you can email Fundraising@vranchhouse.org  to chat about your ideas.

The Fallows Family Fundraiser. Lee and Georgie Fallows set out to run 300km between them over the month of January. Not only did they smash their goal by running 200MILES, but they also smashed their fundraising target of £1000 each for Vranch House and Bow Bears Pre-school where their son Jacob, who is one of our outpatients attends. Jacob’s big sister, Olivia ran 30km herself and Jacob completed 39 laps of the playground in his walker. So far, The Fallows Family have raised over £14,000 and we still have donations coming in!

Ben Privett’s, a father of a pupil who attends Vranch House School, raised £8062 towards the cause by completing the Sea To Summit Ultramarathon Trilogy, where he ran three ultra marathons up and down the three peaks: Snowdonia, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis. Ben and Oldway Heights Care home in Paignton also organised a fantastic Spring fete, which raised £2000 towards his total.

SMART estate agents organised a fantastic challenge that saw many different companies and individuals come together at their Exeter and Penryn Offices to complete 1000KM cycle in one day. Their amazing effort raised £3000 and will go towards helping us enclose the walkway from the main Vranch building to the Hydrotherapy Pool.

Staff Take the Plunge Challenge This winter, a number of Vranch House Staff took part in The Big Plunge! They tortured themselves to 10 ice baths in the Vranch garden plus 2 sea dips during the cold months of November and December.

The 12th and final dip was at Dawlish Warren Beach on Sunday 15th December where the final total for their freezing efforts came to £3223.69!!! This money was well spent on many resources to support education and sensory needs in school.

Vranchathalon

Our amazing school pupils raised a whopping £5232.50 including Gift aid donations by completing their own sporting challenges during our Vranchathalon week!!!!

The Vranchathalon was a sports week that we devised in support of Disability awareness day on Sunday 14th July. Every pupil had the opportunity to participate in a ‘triathlon’ Vranch House style, completing 3 different sporting activities tailored to their needs.
These activities included:

-100m of the hydrotherapy pool
-1mile walk
-100bounces/jumps
-100points on a target game
- Seated yoga session

Although raising money is so beneficial to our charity and we are always grateful for every donation we receive, the biggest goal of the Vranchathalon was to show off what our amazing young people CAN do, and to have fun. They certainly achieved that!

The money raised is going towards a wheelchair accessible roundabout at Vranch House for everyone to enjoy, chosen by the pupils themselves.

Vranch House pub Quiz

We held our first pub quiz at The Heavitree Con Club in July 2024. A fun night of quizzing and Kate’s nacho’s for over 18’s to enjoy. We raised £334.42.

Exeter Chiefs Foundation

Vranch House is very lucky to be one of Exeter Chiefs Foundation designated charities for a number of years. Each season we get to volunteer at an allocated match bucket collecting whilst supporting the fabulous Exeter Chiefs. It is always a great day out, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media if you'd like to help with any future bucket collections as we may get the opportunity at other matches. We are delighted to share that from the last season we received a cheque from The Exeter Chiefs Foundation for £1688.77!
